Enjoying a weekend at home with the family. It's been a long six weeks on the promo trail. Feels great to finally have the album out - it's always exciting and a relief, at the same time. Hope you all dig the album. I'm very proud of it.

Had two great shows in Melbourne last week - probably the best solo shows I've ever had there. East Brunswick Club on Thursday and the Substation in Newport on Friday. Thank you to all who came and for being so adorable to play to. It was a great way to finish off a big few weeks on the road.

So happy that footy season has started again. Go Lions! Except, it also signals the imminent approach of winter, which I'm not so fond of. My QLD blood still freezes during the NSW winter.

The "Little Birds & Bad Machines Tour" kicks off on Thursday in Rooty Hill. Looking forward to it. See you all on the road somewhere soon.

Just finished the QLD leg of the Bad Machines promo tour. Having a great time travelling around the country and talking up the new album. Getting excited about the release now – less than a week to go!

Had a great weekend at the Port Fairy Folk Festival. The shows were incredible – such beautiful audiences to play for. Weather was good, heaps of great acts playing, and they had the best corn-on-the-cob I’ve ever eaten!

So many highlights for me – Joe Pug was incredible. We played a show with him a few years ago in Chicago, so we already knew how good he is, but he really blew the place wide open on the weekend. I think we’ll all be talking about Joe Pug in years to come!

We also jumped up and sang Harlem River Blues with Justin Townes Earle. We toured with him in the USA last year when Kasey and I were promoting Rattlin’ Bones, and it was a buzz to have a sing with him at Port Fairy. All in all a great festival. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows – you made it an unforgettable weekend.

Heading off to Toowoomba tomorrow for the Spirit Of The Country concert. See you all there.

Things look a bit different around here. Webhead Phil has done some interior decorating and remodelling. I love the new look.

I’m excited about the new album hitting stores soon. I’ve been travelling around the country for the past few weeks visiting every possible radio station and newspaper, spreading the word of the coming release. And it’s not over yet…I’m heading off to VIC tomorrow, with QLD and NSW to follow soon after.

If you take a wander around the new site, you’ll also see a huge list of live shows that have been added to the calendar, and there’s still more to come! There’s a bunch of solo dates, some festival appearances, and the “Little Birds & Bad Machines” regional tour dates have also just been announced. It’s shaping up to be a busy year.

I spent three days last week shooting the new video for the next single, Famous Last Words. Duncan Toombs was once again in charge on set, and this time he really let his imagination off the chain! I can’t wait to see it finished! We’ll post some funny photos from the video shoot very soon.

Looking forward to Port Fairy Folk Fest this weekend…one of my favourite festivals to play!
