Bad Machines has been nominated for Best Country Album at the 2011 ARIA Awards.
Shane will be attending the event, along with wife Kasey Chambers who is also a nominee, which unfortunately means his performance at the Queenscliff Music Festival has been cancelled.
But have no fear, there are many other opportunities to see Shane in Victoria throughout November. After a few weeks enjoying some time out with the family, Shane will head back out on the road as the special guest of K.D. Lang on selected dates of her national tour.

Kasey, Talon, Arlo and I have just welcomed the newest little member to our family tribe – a beautiful baby girl.
“Poet Poppin Nicholson” was born yesterday afternoon, weighing 7 pounds 11. Both mum and bub are healthy and well. Poet is a gorgeous little bundle of baby – I am a very proud dad!
Shane has joined the collection of international artists in the UK's hit tribute concert; Way To Blue: The songs of Nick Drake.
After sold-out performances across the UK, the show is coming to Sydney Opera House on November 11 and the Melbourne Recital Centre on November 14 / 15.

Shane will be appearing at the Queenscliff Music Festival on Sunday 27 November.
The festival is in it's fifteenth year and is located in the 19th Century seaside town of Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria.
Shane joins an awesome lineup including Richard Clapton, The Beautiful Girls and The Blackeyed Susans. Full details available at qmf.net.au.
Thanks to all of you who came out to the Gympie Muster last weekend - especially those who braved the rain on Saturday. It was a whole lot of fun!
Kasey & I are now on tour in Northern QLD so for those who couldn't make the Muster we would love to see you at one of the shows.

Shane has just finished up his Lizotte's set with a cool show in Newcastle which included a guest appearance by Catherine Britt.

Bad Machines debuted last week on the ARIA Country Chart at #3!
The album also came in at #4 on the Australian Artist ARIA Chart and #29 on the ARIA National Chart!
The Bad Machines single has climbed to #7 on the Country Tracks Airplay Chart!

Shane will be joining a huge line-up that includes Kasey Chambers, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Gina Jeffreys and Catherine Britt at the ‘OPTUS Gympie Music Muster SPIRIT OF THE COUNTRY’ – a special one off concert event in Toowoomba on Sunday 20th March.
The free event will show the fraternity’s support of Southern Queensland Flood victims and the communities hit by recent devastation.
Tickets for the unforgettable concert experience are limited to the venue capacity with tickets being allocated to those whom register interest online at spiritofthecountry.com.au.
The stars of ‘Spirit of the Country’ and organizers are quick to enforce that this event is not a fundraising project. There will be no admission charge to attend and experience the performers who collectively boast more than 100 Golden Guitars.
“This is about raising spirits, not raising money. This is about giving something back to so many people who have suffered so much and lost so much during the floods, watching a life time of memories and possessions swept away. We’re not builders or plumbers or carpenters… we’re entertainers and we’ll use the tools we have to help bring a little happiness into their lives”, said one of the driving forces behind the concert, Gina Jeffreys, a born and raised Toowoomba girl.
The concert will be staged at Toowoomba Showground on Sunday 20th March 2011 starting at 1pm. Gates will open at 12pm midday.
Shane will be performing several upcoming festivals including the Moomba Festival in Melbourne (11th March), Port Fairy Folk Festival (12th & 13th), Brunswick Music Festival (24th) and the Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival (24th April).
